The National Test Agency (NTA) has revealed about the changes in NEET UG 2021 exam pattern. Unlike earlier, this year the exam paper will be divided into two sections. Physics, Chemistry and Biology (Botany & Zoology) all these question papers will consist of Section A with 35 mandatory questions and Section B with 15 questions (only 10 questions to be answered out of 15 questions). Hence the total number of questions will be 180 and the time duration will be 3 hours (180 minutes).

“To rationalize the decision of reduction in the syllabus by various school educational boards, the NTA has taken the decision to provide choice in section “B” for each of the four(4) subjects,” NTA mentioned.

As per NEET UG 2021 marking scheme, each right answer for the question will be awarded 4 marks and for each wrong answer 1 mark will be deducted. But there will be no negative marking for unanswered questions.

According to NEET eligibility criteria, a candidate can apply for  NEET only after completion of 17 years of age at time of admission or before December 31,2021.    The upper age limit is 25 years as on the examination date with relaxation of 5 years for the SC/ST/OBC-NCL category candidates and Person with Disability (PwD).
