Kerala declared the results of +2 students

Directorate of Higher Secondary Education, Kerala had held the exams for second PUC and +2 before the second wave. The results were not declared as on the scheduled date due to the second wave of corona. After the situations normalised the board completed its corrections and now the General Education Minister V Sivankutty has announced the results on their official website – keralaresults.nic.in and other reference websites are dhsekerala.gov.in, prd.kerala.gov.in, kerala.gov.in, results.kite.kerala.gov.in and keralapareekshabhavan.in. They also have an app facility named Saphalam through which results can be verified. SMS facility is also being provided where students have to type KERALA12, add space and then type registration number and send it to 56263. The results will be sent through SMS.

In the year 2019-20 total 4.47 lakh students have written exams out of which 87.94% of students have passed in total as compared to 200 students last year and it is also the highest in the last three years in Kerala. Schools up to 136 including 11 Government schools have seen 100% results this year. 

Students who are not happy with their marks or have got grades below D, by 31st July, 2021 they can apply for a re-test called SAY – Save a Year through the official website. The SAY exams will start August 11th, 2021. The grading system was set in the following manner: 

  • 90 to 100 marks = A+ grade
  • 89 to 80 marks = A grade
  • 79 to 70 marks = B+ grade
  • 69 to 60 marks = B grade 
  • 59 to 50 marks = C grade
  • 49 to 40 marks = D+ grade
  • 35 to 30 marks = D grade

The students who have been awarded with less grades can apply for SAY for increasing their grades. 

Students will not get a hardcopy of the marks card like every year but will have to download it through the website or the app. If they find any errors in the marks card they need to contact the authorities at the earliest and get the changes in the marks card. There are specific things that students have to be careful about before downloading the marks card. 

  • The candidates name and the subjects opted for
  • Total of marks and percentage calculation 
  • Grading system, the grade given should be in parallel to marks obtained. 

The steps to download the marks card is:

  • Step 1 – visit the official website
  • Step 2 – click on the result link 
  • Step 3 – log-in using roll number
  • Step 4 – result will appear 
  • Step 5 – download the marks sheet
