Class 10th students to write exams under the new scheme of examination

The pandemic has changed everything over a year, our lifestyle, work life, and also mode of education and examination. For a few classes there are no exams while few exams are conducted with all the precautions.

Karnataka Government is making the decisions in the view of children’s health but is also taking few decisions that will benefit their future. Class 12th exams have been cancelled and the new assessment scheme was released where each and every student will be given marks based on certain criteria. If they are not satisfied with the marks allotted then those students can write the exams after the conditions are feasible.

Class 10th exams which were first held from June 21st to July 5th, 2021 were postponed due to the pandemic and were told that the revised timetable will be released soon. The Karnataka Government recently announced that the Class 10th exams will be conducted in the third week of July, 2021 and the timetable will be released 20 days prior to the exams. They have made the announcements early so that the students can start preparing for the exams.

The exams which are going to be held in July will not be in the regular pattern. A new pattern is set by the Government where it has been made easy and simple for the students to attend the exam amidst the pandemic.

The exams will be held only for 2 days. The subjects will be divided into two groups with three subjects each. Mathematics, Social Science and Science will be grouped together and all the languages will be grouped together. Each paper will be attended for 120 marks and 40 marks for each subject in the respective groups. All the questions will be multiple – choice questions which will be easy, simple and direct questions. Before starting the preparation of the exams as well as before appearing for the exams all the students must go through the guidelines given by the Government regarding the Class 10th examination. Students who are differently abled will be given extra time to finish the paper.

The Karnataka Education Minister has made a clear announcement that students affected with Covid-19 during the days of exams scheduled will be allowed to write the supplementary exams.

The Minister has also said that no student from Class 10th and 12th will fail. Class 10th students are advised to start their preparations for the exams.
